Defenders of Hull City and Liverpool will breathe a sigh of relief with the news that Isaac Success will miss the next two Watford matches.
The rampaging Nigerian forward flew to Spain this week to see a specialist about a problem that originated from the dead leg he sustained against Bournemouth. The fluid is thought to have tracked and caused an issue with the hamstring on the same left leg. Allnigeriasoccer.com, who know the player well, report Success is “feeling pains inside his lap”.
Success visited Dr Cugat in Barcelona this week and had fluid drained from the area in a bid to speed up the recovery process. Cugat has also treated Stefano Okaka this season and performed the career-saving operation on Joel Ekstrand.
The injury continues the stop-start nature of Success’ early Watford career and is set to put his international debut on hold. He missed the World Cup qualifier with Zambia through injury and is almost certain to be out of contention for the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against Adlene Guedioura’s Algeria on November 12.
