Watford have received a timely injury boost with the news that Stefano Okaka is fit and available for the game against Leicester City on Saturday.
The strapping striker has been out since tearing his hamstring on debut against West Ham United, missing seven Premier League games and robbing Walter Mazzarri of an alternative to Troy Deeney and, in particular, the out of sorts Odion Ighalo.
Okaka could have been available for Liverpool at a push but the sensible decision was taken not to rush the 29-year-old back for a game at Anfield that was always going to be one of the season’s tougher assignments. The view was taken to use the international break to get some further fitness work under his belt at the training ground. He is now considered ready to take his place in the squad and is expected to be on the bench this weekend.
Isaac Success, meanwhile, is thought to be a week behind Okaka and has been pencilled in to return against Stoke.
