Alex Jakubiak is back at Watford after his loan spell at Fleetwood Town was ended early.
The home-grown forward was due to spend the season under Uwe Rosler at the Highbury Stadium, but the 20-year-old has not made a single league start for the League One side and only made one league appearance since September 27.
He did muster two starts in the Football League Trophy, scoring in the defeat to Carlisle United but was deemed surplus to requirements after Fleetwood signed Alex Reid from non-league side Rushall Olympic for an undisclosed fee.
“We’d like to thank Alex for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future,” read a statement on the Fleetwood website.
Jakubiak signed a new four-year deal at Vicarage Road in August but he will return to Watford to find that teenage striker Michael Folivi has jumped above him in the first-team pecking order.
